Smith opens office in the UK and appoints trading manager

Smith, a US global distributor of electronic components and semiconductors, has opened a new office in London and announced the appointment of Suryavikram Rajawat to the position of Trading Manager.

Rajawat has been appointed to build Smith’s trading team in London and develop strategies to promote the company’s growth in the United Kingdom and beyond.

Commenting Rajawat said, “In the wake of Brexit, many British OEMs and EMS companies are looking for an experienced and trusted supply chain partner to support them through this transition. With our new London office Smith will be able to provide industry insights and localised support to our customers in the UK to help them navigate this everchanging market.”

Rajawt joined Smith five years ago as an Account Manager in the company’s Bangalore office and has developed a broad experience of working with multinational companies across critical industries – including defence, medical, and automotive.

Founded in 1984, Smith sources, manages, and distributes electronic components and has offices in 19 cities around the world. The company generated global annual sales in excess of $4.8 billion in 2022.
