Freescale 2010 Q4 Net sales up $229million year on year

Freescale Semiconductor has announced Net sales of $1.18billion for the fourth quarter of 2010, compared to $1.15bn from the previous quarter and $951million year on year. Net sales for 2010 were $4.46bn, up from $3.51bn in 2009.

Income from operations for the three months ended December 31, 2010 was $17million, compared to $1m in the third quarter of 2010 and a loss of $261m in the fourth quarter of 2009. Income from operations for calendar year 2010 was a loss of $61m compared to a loss of $1.22bn in calendar year 2009. Fourth quarter microcontroller Net sales were $415m - down $3m from the previous quarter – but up $82m year on year. Net sales for 2010 were $1.59bn, up $48m from 2009. Q4 2010 rf, analogue and sensor net sales were $285m, a sequential rise of $13m and a year on year rise of $64m. Net sales for 2010 were $1.06bn compared to $814m in 2009.
