x18 capacitance from first MIL-PRF BME ceramic capacitors

The first Base Metal Electrode (BME) ceramic capacitors qualified to MIL-PRF-32535 deliver up to x18 capacitance compared to the MIL-PRF-123 and MIL-PRF-55681 versions based on a Precious Metal Electrode (PME).

SAMPLING NOW from Charcroft Electronics, Kemet MIL-PRF-32535 ceramic capacitors are offered in the C0G/BP dielectric.

The Kemet MIL-PRF-32535 capacitors provide high reliability at operating temperatures up to 125°C while maintaining high insulation resistance, very low ESR and very high ripple current capability at high frequencies.

Available in standard ‘M’ and high-reliability ‘T’ levels, the series provides superior stability with no capacitance change over DC voltage and ±30ppm/°C capacitance change over temperature. With case sizes from 0402 to 2220, and a wide voltage range from 4V to 200V, the series offers capacitance values up to 180nF. MIL-PRF-32535 is also the first DLA specification to recognise a flexible termination option.

Typical applications for MIL-PRF-32535 ceramic capacitors include filtering, decoupling, bypass and RC timing circuits in guidance systems, communications, targetting systems and early warning systems.
