‘World’s smallest’ single chip ssd announced
Silicon Motion Technology has introduced what it claims is the world's smallest single chip ssd with standard SATA or PATA interface in BGA form factor.
According to the fabless semiconductor specialist, the FerriSSD series allows for easy integration of embedded storage into industrial and commercial devices and applications. As well as both commercial and industrial grade temperature support, the range offers enhanced reliability and security combined with high performance and low power consumption. It is designed for use in industrial pcs, tablets, navigation devices, medical devices and test instruments.
