Red Kubes launches Otomi Startup Programme for UK and Dutch companies

Dutch startup Red Kubes, the creators behind the Kubernetes-based production ready platform Otomi, las launched a programme that’s specifically designed to support startups in nurturing innovation.

As a startup themselves, Red Kubes said that it knows first-hand about balancing speed, cost, and delivery and through this programme, it is aiming to offer the simplest way for startups to leverage all the technologies required to deploy and securely run containerised applications to accelerate their time-to-market (TTM) in the critical growth phase.

With a first-of-its-kind platform like Otomi that delivers automation, integration and configuration of all required capabilities to use Kubernetes in production, Red Kubes believes that it can accelerate a project’s speed to market, which is what most startups are looking for.

“This product itself is what sets the programme apart from similar initiatives in the market. Deploying Otomi will demonstrate to companies how easy it can be to set up a production ready environment with leading open-source components from the ecosystem without having to strenuously engineer and build up in-depth skills”, said Sander Rodenhuis, founder and CTO of Red Kubes.

Dutch and UK based companies which are less than three years old, with a maximum of twenty five employees and maximum annual turnover of EUR 3 million are eligible to apply.

By participating in this programme, companies will gain access to a number of exclusive benefits including free use of Red Kube’s proprietary software initially for up to twelve months. Red Kubes will be supporting the participants in setting up a Kubernetes environment with Otomi, so that startups will have a full production ready Kubernetes platform to deploy container workloads to, in a day. This would enable quick delivery of products and features from participating startups to their users more quickly, smoothly and at virtually zero cost.

For startups, the complexities involved in building a production ready application from Kubernetes is a challenge in itself.

Red Kubes intends for the programme to evolve, providing additional support to accelerate apps from startups into production.

“Our support for the startup community in their innovation efforts aims to get their apps into production super quickly. Through our unique way of helping them run their software development and deployment pipelines more efficiently, we hope to empower them with more capacity to focus on their business objectives”, commented Rouven Besters, CEO of Red Kubes.
