Power conversion addresses efficiency
A new 3-phase inductor is capable of achieving 99.6% efficiency according to power specialist Premo.
Premo's AIC series from 320mm wide and 270mm high as maximum, which it says is 12% smaller than similar components and meets application needs with half of the current size.
This has been achieved by a high power and flux density in the core, which Premo claims achieves 10% higher efficiency compared to similar solutions in the market. It is able to work at ripple frequencies of up to 25KHz.
In a statement, Premo announced: "The key factor of Electronics for power conversion in renewable energies is efficiency. The Premo AIC technology is the most efficient in the market in terms of copper and core losses."
