Thick film chip resistors combine sulphur resistance with high power and pulse load performance

Vishay Intertechnology has introduced a new series of thick film chip resistors for automotive and industrial applications.

The Vishay Draloric RCA-HP e3 series devices combine advanced sulphur resistance, pulse load performance and high power ratings in a single device.

For high sulphur environments, the AEC-Q200 qualified resistors feature a construction that provides a sulphur withstand ability in accordance with ASTM B809 95, tested at an advanced level of 90°C for 1,000 hours. The robust devices withstand high and repetitive pulses and provide power ratings to 1.5 W.

RCA-HP e3 series resistors are available in eight case sizes ranging from 0402 to 2512 and the devices offer a resistance range from 1Ω up to 1MΩ with tolerances of ± 1 % and ± 5 %, TCR of ± 100 ppm/K and ± 200 ppm/K, and an operating voltage range from 50 V to 500 V.

RoHS-compliant and halogen-free, the resistors feature single-sided (0402) or double-sided (0603 through 2512) printed resistor elements with a protective coating. The devices offer pure tin plating, which provides compatibility with lead (Pb)-free and lead-containing soldering processes.
