The series is designed to handle higher currents and is provided in athree pin SIP package that is compatible with the standard linear LM78XX (TO-220 package) regulator. This range is efficient (up to 96%), small and does not require any form of heat sink. The no-load input current is typically 0.1mA.
These regulators accept inputs ranging from 6 to 36V DC, and deliver positive outputs ranging from 3.3 to 15V DC. They can be configured to provide negative voltage outputs. Output voltage accuracy is typically ±2% with line regulation of ±0.2%, load regulation of ±0.4% and ripple and noise of 20mV P-P at 20MHz bandwidth. The output transient recovery time is typically 0.1ms and the output features continuous short circuit protection with self-recovery.
They meet UL60950 and EN60950 safety requirements.
