Photocoupler delivers 15Mb/s up to 125°C
The latest photocoupler from Toshiba Electronics Europe is designed to meet the data rate, isolation performance and space requirements of high speed digital interfaces in industrial applications operating across extended temperature ranges.
The TLP2962 single channel photocoupler is supplied in a DIP8 package and is capable of typical data rates up to 15Mb/s. Guaranteed creepage and clearance distances of 7 and 8mm for the TLP2962 and the TLP2962F respectively ensure compliance with the reinforced insulation class of international safety standards. Minimum isolation voltage is rated at 5000Vrms. Target applications include factory automation systems, control devices and measurement equipment.
Toshiba says the new photocoupler is guaranteed for operation at temperatures from -40 to 125°C and supports a supply voltage range of 2.7 to 5.5V. The TLP2962 is said to reduce current consumption by as much as 75% when compared with previous devices.
