Euroquartz launches new ruggedised clock oscillator

Frequency control specialist, Euroquartz has launched a new range of surface mount ruggedised clock oscillators offering an extended industrial operating temperature range from -40 to +105°C.

A major advantage of these components, according to Euroquartz, is that they are manufactured in the company's own cleanroom facility in the UK and are free of ITAR restrictions.

Available on short lead times, the EQXO-75UIE series crystal oscillators offer high-reliability in a standard format 7x5mm SMD ceramic package with hermetically sealed metal lid. Designed by Euroquartz specifically for demanding industrial applications, 75UIE series components provide reliable operation with good frequency stability across an extended industrial temperature range with mechanical shock survivability tested to 1500g (MIL-STD-883K Method 2002.5, Condition B). Temperature stability specification options available are ±50, ±75 and ±100ppm with tighter options upon request (conditions dependent).

Featuring a phase noise performance of -164dB/Hz (typical) at 100kHz and femtosecond integrated phase jitter of 150fs typical (12kHz to 20MHz integrated), the series is available in frequencies ranging from 2.0 to 60.0MHz.

These ruggedised components feature supply voltage options of 2.5 and 3.3V (±10%) or 5V (±5%). Additional specifications include LVCMOS output logic, 15pF load, rise time of 10ns maximum, start-up time of 3ms maximum and enable/disable function as standard.

Current consumption is 6 to 16mA maximum depending on frequency. Ageing is ±1ppm maximum for first year with standard pre-age bake beyond 96 hours at 100°C and custom crystal pre-ageing options available. Solder profile is 260°C max.
