Cypress launches low power, low cost PSoC 1

Adding to its PSoC 1 programmable SoC family, Cypress Semiconductor has introduced the ultra low power, ultra low cost CY8C24x93 series

The new devices are optimised for battery powered applications, leveraging a 1.1µA Standby mode and 100nA Deep-Sleep mode to extend battery life. The also integrate Full Speed USB 2.0 with an SPI, enabling streamlined, cost efficient design with programmable serial bridges. The CY8C24x93 PSoC 1 devices come in multiple small footprint packaging options, including a 3 x 3mm2 QFN package. They integrate a 10bit a/d converter and two comparators, along with 16bit timers. Target applications include space constrained system solutions that involve basic analogue signal processing, such as data loggers and thermistor hubs.
