Connector module provides transmission rates up to 10Gbit/s
Harting has extended its Han-Modular series of industrial connectors with the addition of the RJ45 Category 6 Ethernet module.
Designed to allow transmission rates up to 10Gbit/s, the connector is said to offer high speed capabilities and a high level of mechanical stability.
The module features a gender changer on the socket side so that only an RJ45 patch cable is required to make the connection. A complete 360° shielded RJ45 metal coupler has also been implemented.
Two Category 6 solutions are available on the male connector; the first is a field installable version with an RJ industrial interface and the second is a module that is capable of accommodating corresponding Harting patch cables.
