This new SMA jack operates up to 18 GHz making it highly suited for broadband and high-speed data operations. An enlarged custom footprint and low-profile mount distributes mechanical stress improving solder joint reliability and preserves vertical clearance in dense assemblies.

The custom land pattern minimises impedance discontinuities and simplifies the trace routing for significantly improved RF performance. The threaded coupling mechanism per the MIL-STD-348 standard guarantees secure connections and compatibility with existing SMA plugs.

The body of the jack is machined from gold-plated brass, while the contact pin is made with gold-plated beryllium copper. The natural PTFE insulator ensures dielectric strength and reliable electrical insulation. The quality metals used in the SMA jack gives it a wide operating temperature range of –65 °C to +165°C, making it suitable for harsh environment applications.

The SMA right-angle PCB jack joins the company’s product line as an off-the-shelf solution suited for applications such as IoT and smart devices, defence and aerospace and testing equipment.
