Express Logic has joined the Eclipse Foundation, the open source software community.

Recently, Express Logic introduced BenchX, an Eclipse based Integrated Development Environment which provides software developers with the tools to build intelligent embedded devices. “We’re excited to become part of the open-source community through membership in the Eclipse Foundation,” commented William E. Lamie, president of Express Logic. “Our initial impression has been outstandingly positive, and we’ve been greeted with offers of cooperation and assistance from the community that are most refreshing.” The Eclipse Project was created by IBM in 2001 and supported by a consortium of software vendors. The Eclipse Foundation was established in 2004 to act as the steward of the Eclipse community. “We welcome Express Logic to the Eclipse Foundation and we greatly appreciate their efforts to expand the availability of Eclipse to embedded developers,” said Mike Milinkovich, executive director of the Eclipse Foundation. “We look forward to Express Logic’s continuing contributions to the Eclipse community.”
