Engineering Design Show countdown begins

Some of the UK's biggest names in design and engineering will be exhibiting at a new event being held at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry next week between 10th and 11th October.

Organised by New Electronics' parent company Findlay Media, the Engineering Design Show will bring together a range of technologies, industries and expertise to create an unmissable event for design engineers, regardless of the indsutry in which they work. Running alongside the Show will be a number of insightful conference and workshop sessions offering delegates the opportunity to hear about the latest technologies, techniques and strategies employed by experts at the forefront of their fields. Those signed up to address the conference comprise representatives from some of the UK's most illustrious names, including BAE Systems, McLaren, Jaguar Land Rover, AgustaWestland, Siemens PLM and Cambridge Consultants. Speakers confirmed include: • Richard York, director of product marketing, ARM Holdings, who will be speaking about the transition to 32bit mcus • Tim Strafford, business development manager, McLaren Electronic Systems, on designing and manufacturing an F1 engine control unit • Nathan Wrench, associate director of products and systems, Cambridge Consultants , who will deliver the keynote titled 'It's got to be… like the iPod' Running alongside the Engineering Design Show conference programme will be the workshop programme. The workshops are intended to give practical, hands-on advice on a range of technical issues. Two workshop theatres will cover 20 sessions across both days. Speakers confirmed include representatives from some of the biggest names in electronics, including Altium (also a headline sponsor), National Instruments, Analog Devices, TDK Lambda and Kistler Instruments.
