Electronics Design Show conference confirmed

This year's Electronics Design Show conference and workshop programmes have now been confirmed, with some of the UK's leading names in electronics set to take part.

Running alongside the Show at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry between 22nd-23rd October 2014, the conference and workshop sessions will offer delegates the opportunity to hear about the latest technologies, techniques and strategies employed by experts at the forefront of their fields. Those signed up to address the conference comprise representatives from some of the UK's most illustrious names, including Rolls-Royce, IBM, Lynx Technologies, Cambridge Consultants and Raspberry Pi. Speakers confirmed include: • MIRA's Dr Anthony Baxendale, who will be discussing the move towards driverless cars and the future of transport • James Baker on the route to graphene commercialisation • Dr Graham Bruce, Power Electronics Team Leader at Rolls-Royce, who will outline the challenges of developing low power electronics for aerospace • IBM's Dave Locke on getting started with the Internet of Things (IoT) • Cofounder of the Raspberry Pi Foundation, Pete Lomas, who will bring delegates up to speed with the latest developments in the product's life Running parallel to the conference programme, the Electronics Design Show workshop programme will offer more immediately practical, hands on advice on a range of technical and technological subjects. Two workshop theatres will cover 20 sessions across the two days, with highly relevant and practical content delivered by representatives from the likes of Altium, Avnet Memec, Zuken and Silicon Labs.
