electronica adds another hall as exhibitor demand grows

Increased demand from companies looking to exhibit at this November’s electronica event in Munich has seen the organiser add an additional hall. Now occupying 13 halls at the Messe München site, electronica will feature 143,000m² of floor space.

Exhibition director Angela Marten noted: “electronica is taking the needs of the industry into account with an additional hall, as well as with new elements such as the Embedded Platforms Village and the electronica Start-up Platform.”

According to the organiser, the fastest growing sectors are semiconductors and power supplies, as well as PCBs, other circuit carriers and EMS. Interest in embedded systems is also growing rapidly.

Marten noted: “Adding another hall to electronica gives exhibitors an opportunity to increase the size of their stands and allows us to include new exhibitors.”

This year’s event – taking place from 8 to 11 November – will see companies offering PCBs, other circuit carriers and EMS occupying halls B4 and C4. Power Supplies will be housed in halls A2 and A3, while the electromechanics/system periphery sector will now be found in halls B2 and B3.
