Connected car platform to address safety and security

1 min read

A secure connected car solution has been unveiled by Green Hills Software for vehicle and smart city manufacturers building vehicle-to-anything and European car-to-anything on-board units as well as intelligent transportation infrastructure.

According to the company, the platform enables OEMs and Tier 1s to address the range of challenges to design, develop and deploy the most secure and efficient V2V solutions for the next generation of connected vehicles as outlined in the US Department of Transportation New Proposed Rule Making.

Incorporating security, safety and device management, the first instantiation of the platform features Commsignia IEEE 1609.2 security and advanced software development tools – including MULTI IDE, optimising C/C++ compilers, ISO26262 ASIL C/D qualification, MISRA C Adherence Checker.

The Green Hills Probe and SuperTrace Probe connect MULTI to the target for board bring-up, trace debugging and multicore, multi-mode run control during debugging.

The platform also features the INTEGRITY RTOS – which comes with common criteria EAL 6+ security credentials and ISO 26262 ASIL D safety certification – as well as a Multivisor 64bit secure virtualisation.

Integrated and tested with a security credential management service, the platform is also said to incorporate the device lifecycle management OTA service that is said to securely manage connected devices anywhere in the world.
