Semiconductor specialist Avnet Memec has signed up as a headline sponsor of the Electronics Design Show.

The company, a specialist distributor of cutting edge semiconductors, joins RS Components, Digi-Key, Altium and Premier EDA Solutions as headline sponsors of the Show, with exhibitors including Zuken, Analog Devices, TDK-Lambda and Freescale. Chris Shipway, country director of Avnet Memec UK, said: "As a headline sponsor, Avnet Memec is delighted to be supporting the inaugural Electronics Design Show, which will be bringing innovation, learning and cutting edge technology to the UK's design engineering community. We are looking forward to working with the EDS team to make this the go-to event for design engineers in the UK." The Electronics Design Show, which will co-locate with the Engineering Design Show at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry between 2 and 3 October 2013, is the only one of its kind catering for the needs of the UK's electronics design engineers. Delegates will get the chance to attend high level conferences, free practical workshops and an exhibition demonstrating and promoting cutting edge technology and innovation from market leading suppliers.
