The Embedded World exhibition and conference is the world´s biggest exhibition of its kind and the meeting place for the international embedded community. Last year, the exhibition had more than 18,350 visitors and 730 exhibitors from all areas of the industry. New ideas that have materialised in the hands of embedded system developers in recent months are being presented and discussed for the first time at the conference according to organisers. They'll also be looking at innovative problem solutions devised in the areas of hardware, software and tools. Germany's Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits (IIS) in Erlangen as well as the Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Architecture and Software Technology (FIRST) in Berlin are said to have played an active role in shaping the programme, composing a technically in-depth conference program from the large number of submitted contributions and invited papers. The conference aims to offer participants a means of orientation, to set trends, present solutions, and consequently focus on keynote themes that are of significance for the entire embedded community today and in the future.
