This year's Embedded World takes place at Nurenberg, Germany, between March 2 and 4, 2010.

The number one event for the embedded world will be held in 2010 from 2nd to 4th March. Even at this stage it is clearly evident that the embedded world Exhibition & Conference is bucking the general economic trend and remaining right on track. Compared to the previous year's registration level (same period), embedded world is displaying a stable trend. In terms of the exhibiting companies' internationality, the world's largest embedded event has once again increased by around 17%. Also encouraging is the share of first-time exhibitors, which so far is already at 10%. Once again in 2010 the trade world can look forward to informative and top-class congresses, the embedded world Conference and electronics displays Conference. The series of scientific and technical top lectures will be opened by the keynote address delivered by Reinhold Achatz, Head of Corporate Research and Technologies at Siemens, on the first day of the fair. "The registration level for exhibiting companies is exceeding our expectations. The event has once again increased in terms of internationality (+17%) and first-time exhibitors (+10%). For the sector the fair is the most important platform in the world, enabling its participants to enter into an exchange at the highest level and inform themselves – it is a fixed date in the trade fair calendar for the embedded community", explains Alexander Mattausch, Exhibition Director, embedded world Exhibition&Conference, at NürnbergMesse. Despite the current extremely difficult economic conditions, the embedded world is a stable constant. The exhibiting companies also appreciate this. "Even at this stage, a few months before the start of the event, all the market leaders have booked their stand space on a binding basis. We will make use of the months that remain up to embedded world to once again offer the embedded community a unique, informative and exciting embedded world", Mattausch went on to say. Embedded world Conference 2010: Congress programme already online With the embedded world Conference, once again, in 2010, DESIGN&ELEKTRONIK is presenting the leading European event for the embedded industry, covering all sections of the embedded system development sector. In addition to hardware, software and tools, the Congress will be devoting itself to themes such as healthcare, energy management or Android technology thus picking up current trends and developments. On the first day of the Congress at 12:30 hrs, Reinhold Achatz, Head of Corporate Research and Technologies at Siemens, will deliver a keynote lecture. Achatz launched his career at Siemens in 1980 as a software engineer and held various management positions in Germany and the USA. Since October 2006 Achatz has been Head of the Technology Departments at Siemens Corporate Research und Technologies. In addition he is also a member of the Siemens Innovation Steering Committee and Technology Board. In their lectures outstanding experts from the embedded community will be providing answers to the most pressing questions and issues and preparing the embedded system developers for the challenges of tomorrow. With 18 sessions and 14 classes the programme at the embedded world Conference once again promises to be an interesting and lively congress event, exactly tailored to the requirements of the development engineers. In addition to the experts on real-time operating systems (Dr. David Kalinsky), Embedded Linux (Prof. Nicholas McGuire), Embedded Security (Prof. Christof Paar) and model-based development (Dr. Bruce Powel Douglass), in Dr. Norbert Reintjes, Dr. Kelvin Nilsen and Olaf Winne we have succeeded in acquiring the services of outstanding speakers on current themes from the following sectors: Energy using Products, Safety-Critical Java and Security-Critical Systems in accordance with IEC61508.
