This summer sees the UK’s first ever Robotics Week. Running from 25 June to 1 July and spanning the country, the Week including public lectures, open labs, schools, hackathons, tech weekends and cutting edge robotics showcases and conferences involving leading researchers and pioneers in robotics and autonomous systems from around the world. Robotics Week culminates with an International Showcase event in London.

Topics will include robot ethics, educational robots and robots in society as well as the challenges and opportunities in virtually every area of robotics application – from autonomous vehicles and UAVs to surgical robotics and unmanned systems.

Amongst the events planned are: the School Robot Challenge; the Autonomous Driving Challenge; the Surgical Robot Challenge; and the Field Robotics Challenge.

It’s the march of the makers ... or should that be robots!
