Rugged monitors and panel PCs for harsh environments

Review Display Systems (RDS) are now supporting Elgens rugged monitor and panel PC solutions. Featuring a wide range of sizes, integrated PCap touchscreens and a -40°C to +80°C operating temperature range, RDS can now supply the ideal monitor solution for in-vehicle, marine, aerospace, construction, and industrial applications.

Displays solutions and embedded systems provider, Review Display Systems (RDS) has announced the availability of a range of high-quality, rugged monitors and panel PCs from Taiwan-based monitor specialist Elgens.

The Elgens product range includes touchscreen monitors and panel PCs with screen sizes of 10.1 to 24-inches. Other key features of the monitor line-up include high brightness specifications up to 1600cd/m², Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixel) resolution, In-plane switching (IPS) wide viewing angle technology, optically bonded projected capacitive (PCap) touchscreens, anti-reflection front coatings, water resistant IP65 front panels and an extensive range of mechanical mounting kits. Vandal-proof options are also available.

An extensive line-up of panel PCs feature 7th and 11th Generation Intel Core i7, i5 and i3, Pentium and Celeron processors.

All Elgens monitor and PC products are tested and approved to IEC-60945 which specifies performance requirements and testing methods for maritime navigation and radiocommunication equipment and systems. The IEC-60945 certification standard also defines EMC/EMI compliance, IP65 front sealing, shock and vibration resistance, and anti-salt mist and corrosion features.
