New M12 X-coded connectors from Binder for industrial ethernet

Binder has enhanced its already extensive range of M12 connectors with a new series of 8-pole, X-coded connectors. With data transmission of up to 10Gbit/s they will prove highly valuable in security, CCTV, passenger information systems and other applications using industrial Ethernet protocols such as PROFINET.

The high bandwidth is achieved by isolating the four pairs of wires from one another with a cross or X-coding shield for separation of the transmissions. This ensures that the Ethernet wiring will remain compatible with the growing requirement to transmit high volumes of data. The X-coding conforms to the industry standard IEC 61076-2-109 and is specified for broadband transmission by Ethernet protocols including PROFINET.

The basic M12 connector design, renowned throughout the world for its compact size and robustness, is ideal for applications that endure extreme environmental conditions.

The range includes a variety of IP67 female panel mount connectors with dip solder contacts, a selection of moulded PUR cables terminated with either two male IP67 M12 connectors or one M12 and one Cat. 6A RJ45 offering IP20 protection.Additionally there is a field-wireable 8-pole male M12 connector with IDT contacts for wire gauges from 27AWG to 22AWG.
