The URB series from Mornsun are a range of rugged ultra-wide input dc dc converters, when used in combination with the specially designed FC series input filters they conform to the challenging requirements of EN50155 and RIA12 (up to 30W) for train-borne applications.
There are versions for 24Vdc input (range 9 to 36Vdc); 48Vdc input (range 18 to 75Vdc); The ultra-wide input versions are suitable for traction battery voltages of 72V, 96V, 110V & 120Vdc (range 40 to 160Vdc). Output voltages available are 3.3V, 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V & 24Vdc.
By virtue of their design for the harsh environment of the railway, they are also suitable for many other applications requiring a compact rugged dc dc solution. Available in 6W to 100W packages with industry standard PCB pinouts and available in chassis mount and DIN rail mount packages, with fitted heatsinks an option (15W+).
- These devices are convection cooled;
- Conversion efficiencies are up to 88%
- Isolation for devices up to 20W is 2.25kVdc, from 50W to 100W is 3.0kVdc
- All models meet EN50155 standards when used with the relevant filter
- Built-in protection is included for input under-voltage; output over-voltage, over-current and short-circuit
