T591 Series feature 50V offerings

KEMET has announced extensions to its automotive grade polymer electrolytic capacitors. The T591 High Performance Automotive Grade Polymer Electrolytic Series is said to deliver stability and endurance under harsh humidity and temperature conditions. The new extensions include options up to 50V for both 12 and 24V power rails.

The T591 KEMET Organic Capacitor (KO-CAP) is available in capacitances up to 330µF and operating temperatures up to 125°C. The extensions to the KO-CAP are claimed to combine the ESR of multilayer ceramic, the capacitance of aluminium electrolytic and the volumetric efficiency of tantalum into a single surface mount package. Based on AEC-Q200 guidelines, the products are manufactured in an ISO TS 16949 certified plant.

The T591 can be used in decoupling and filtering applications in a variety of market segments, especially automotive applications such as infotainment and input/output dc/dc converters where harsh conditions are a concern.

The series is available with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Part Submission Warrant (PSW) and change control notification.
