SSDs deliver leading edge performance and reliability

Swissbit has announced the launch of its next generation X-60m Series mSATA solid state drive (SSD). Compliant with the latest SATA III interface specification, the drives are said to deliver leading edge performance and reliability to industrial, network and communication and automotive applications.

The drives are compliant with the JEDEC MO-300A standard and are said to be suited to embedded applications needing high performance, non volatile SSD storage. They are provided in a package measuring 51 x 30 x 3.5mm.

Swissbit claims the X-60m series achieves sequential read/write speeds of up to 525Mbit/s and 450Mbit/s, respectively. The devices can perform 75,000IOPS with transfer sizes of 4kbyte.

Swissbit's X-60m SSDs are designed to operate in temperatures ranging from -40 to 85°C. The drives can withstand shocks of 2000g and vibrations of 20g as per MIL-STD810 and are said to have an MTBF of 2million hours.

In addition, the devices offer a range of features, including wear levelling and bad block management.
