Precision op amp with industry's best noise performance

Analog Devices has introduced the first in a series of high-voltage, low-noise, zero-drift, precision operational amplifiers that are said to reduce system noise, cost, board space, and development time by providing on-chip electro-magnetic interference filtering and eliminating the need for calibration circuitry.

The dual-channel ADA4522-2 op amp has a supply voltage range of 4.5 to 55V and an offset voltage of 5µV. The device exhibits noise performance of 5.8nV/vHz typical, which is claimed to be around 35% better than its closest competitor and has an operational temperature range of between -40 and 125°C.

The ADA4522-2 is available in as eight-lead MSOP and eight-lead SOIC packages and is suitable for a range of applications, including current sensing in electronic loads, power supplies and motor control and offset correction in composite amplifiers used in instrumentation and other applications.
