POL voltage regulators for energy efficient computing and consumer applications
International Rectifier has expanded its SupIRBuck range of integrated point of load voltage regulators to include the IR347x and IR386x devices. Designed for energy efficient computing and consumer applications, the units feature hysteretic constant on time modulators with adaptive dead time control to achieve superior light load and full load efficiency.
Housed in a compact 4 x 5mm or 5 x 6mm PQFN package, they integrate a high performance controller with optimised power mosfets and are designed with a 0.5V, 1% accurate internal reference voltage to allow for very low and precise output voltage programmability.
Other features include over temperature protection, thermally compensated over current protection, over and under voltage protection, pre bias start up, power good output and enable input with voltage monitoring capability. According to IR, the series is capable of up to 27V input voltage and is able to cover load ranges from 6 to 15A.
