Murata extends power rating of 5.2kV dc/dc converters

Providing a pin compatible upgrade path from Murata's NMJ, MEV1 and NMV series, the MEJ2 devices are available with either single or dual outputs, covering the nominal voltages of 3.3, 5, 9, 12 or 15VDC. Input voltage variants accommodate 3.3, 5, 12 or 15VDC. Available in a compact SIP format, the MEJ2 series is said to have about twice the power density of its predecessor, the NMJ series, while offering safety agency recognition according to UL60950 for basic/supplementary insulation for voltages up to 200Vrms. The series is designed to maintain high levels of efficiency down to typical and light loads, saving power, reducing temperature rise and increasing product reliability.
