Murata extends line up of ultra compact dc/dc converters

The LXDC55F and LXDC55K step down converters offer a voltage trim function that allows adjustment of the output voltage within the range of 0.8 to 5.3VDC and up to 3.6VDC, respectively. The LXDC55FAAA-203 measures 5.0 x 5.7 x 2.1mm and can support an input voltage in the range of 4.0 to 14.0VDC. Maximum output current is up to 1.5A. Capable of supporting an output current up to 3A, the LXDC55KAAA-205 measures 5.0 x 5.7 x 2.1mm. Input voltage is within the range of 2.7 to 5.5VDC. The converters are constructed on a multi layer ferrite substrate that integrates an embedded inductor and the power ic. Murata says this enables good EMI suppression and reduced noise characteristics.
