MCUs control two BLDC motors simultaneously

Toshiba Electronics Europe has added two products to its range of ARM Cortex-M4F based MCUs. Both parts – the TMPM470FDFG and TMPM475FDFG – are targeted at energy efficient motor applications and incorporate vectoring technology. The TMPM475FDFG also features a CAN controller for specialist factory automation applications.

Running at up to 120MHz, the MCUs incorporate two modules, each containing a programmable motor drive, a 12bit A/D converter and a vector engine, allowing the simultaneous operation of two brushless DC motors.

Supplied in a 14 x 14mm LQFP100 package, both parts operate from a supply voltage ranging from 4.5 to 5V.
