The LV UltraMOV Varistor Series is designed for use in applications including telecom power systems, surge protection devices, automation controls, audio/visual devices, security systems and wireless base stations.
The devices are claimed to have long-term reliability due to their ability to handle high surges of 500 to 10,000A. They also feature a reduced footprint and volume which increases board space and lowers the weight of the final product by utilising a smaller disc size than previous offerings.
Lead-free, halogen-free and RoHS compliant the LV UltreMOV Varistor Series is available in five sizes; 5, 7, 10, 14 and 20mm. They operate across a temperature range from -40 to 125°C.
