Family of DCM converter modules expanded

The two additions to the DCM family from Vicor are isolated, regulated DC/DC converters, operating from an unregulated range input to generate an isolated DC output.

The 30V input nominal module ranging from 9 to 50V come in a 3623 ChiP package measuring 1.52 x 0.90 x 0.29in. The converter has an output voltage of 15V maximum power of 160W, achieving a power density of 404W/in3.

The 375W module features a nominal input voltage of 275V, ranging from 120 to 420V, and 24V output in a 4623 ChiP package measuring 1.89 x 0.90 x 0.29 in The module is said to achieve a power density of 775W/in3.

With its high frequency zero-voltage switching topology, the DCM converter is said to deliver high efficiency across the input line range.

The company cliams the connectors support efficient power distribution, providing superior power system performance and connectivity from a variety of unregulated power sources to the point-of-load.

Applications include UAV, ground vehicle, radar, transportation and industrial controls.
