Cissoid’s modular SIC inverter platform now available from Rhopoint Components

Rhopoint Components, a specialist distributor of precision electronic components, is now stocking the Cissoid CMT-PLA3SB12340A Silicon Carbide (SiC) MOSFET Intelligent Power Module.

Applications include power systems for Electric Vehicles such as cars, buses, trucks and heavy-duty industrial plant, E-Boats, E-Aviation and industrial motor control.

CISSOID is a developer of multi-phase, high-current power switching modules, motor control systems and software, across a wide range of power requirements.

Key features include:

  • 3-phase inverter with anti-parallel diodes.
  • Drain-to-source Breakdown Voltage of 1200V.
  • Max Continuous Current of 340A/260A at Tc=25°C/90°C.
  • Low On Resistance of 3.25 mΩ typical.
  • Junction Temperature: -40°C to +175°C.

The Cissoid Silicon Carbide (SiC) MOSFET Intelligent Power Module has an open-source design allowing developers to customise the module. Reference designs and bench-top or on-board packaging are also available to shorten new product development lead-times.

The SiC inverter platform is based on a suite of hardware and software products including a SiC Intelligent Power Module, an Inverter Control Module and Functionally Safe E-Motor Control Hardware & Software from Intel Automotive Solutions.
