Advantech releases compact high-performance embedded computer

Advantech has announced the launch of the ARK-3533, a compact fanless edge computer tailored for kiosk and robotics applications.

The ARK-3533 is powered by 12th and 13th Gen Intel Core i3/i5/i7/i9 35W desktop processors, offering desktop-comparable computing power in a form factor one-tenth the size (200 x 75 x 215 mm / 7.87 x 2.95 x 8.46 in) of an ATX tower.

It can support 9~36 VDC power input and has a shock-resistant design that can also withstand temperatures from -20~60°C (-4~140°F). It can support robotics and intelligent control management through its array of versatile I/Os, accommodating connectivity for over 24 devices. Additionally, ARK-3533 integrates with Windows and Linux systems, catering to diverse industries with its robust performance and rugged features.

One notable feature is its compatibility with the Advantech robotics SDK, providing a containerised framework that streamlines the development, deployment, and management of ROS systems along with pre-validated peripheral sensors. This further enhances ARK-3533’s adaptability across various applications, making it a standout solution for demanding industrial needs.

Powered by 12th and 13th Gen. Intel Core i3/i5/i7/i9 35W processors, the ARK-3533 provides high-performance computing capabilities for various applications and is especially well-suited to AI inference tasks.

The embedded computer supports dual DDR5 4800MHz SODIMM memory up to 64GB and offers more than 24 I/O connections including USB, COM ports, LAN, an audio jack, and dual 4K HDMI 2.0, making it suitable for kiosk and robotics applications.

With the advanced connectivity of M.2 slots for 5G and Wi-Fi, it accommodates two 2.5" SATA III hard drive bays. ARK-3533 simplifies integration and drives adaptability across diverse setups.

ARK-3533 comes preconfigured with the Advantech robotics SDK, a toolkit for robotics applications. This SDK provides advanced communication middleware, seamless message-passing interfaces (MPI), and versatile utilities for sensor integration, visualisation, and control.

Developers can scale their applications on ARK-3533, enhancing reliability and achieving improved real-time performance.
