Active clock generator ICs reduce EMI in portable applications

ON Semiconductor has introduced a new series of active clock generator ICs, designed to manage electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI) at the clock source to deliver system wide EMI reduction of all clock dependent signals.

The P3MS650100H and P3MS650103H LVCMOS peak EMI reduction clock generators are optimised for space constrained applications such as mobile phones and tablet pcs. Housed in a 4pin WDFN package measuring 1 x 1.2 x 0.8 mm, the devices are said to provide the industry's smallest standalone active solution for reducing EMI/RFI at the clock source, as well as downstream clock and data signals derived from the clock source. The P3MS650100H and P3MS650103H support input voltages ranging from 1.8 to 3.3V, with typical deviations rated at 0.45 to 1.4%. Operating temperature range is between -20 and 85ºC.
