World's smallest MIL-STD-1553 terminal?
Data Device Corporation has unveiled what it claims to be the world's smallest MIL-STD-1553 terminal.
The Total-AceXtreme is a MIL-STD-1553 interface solution with transformers inside a single 16 X 16mm package. According to DDC, this saves board space and simplifies 1553 design and layout.
The BU-67301B Total-AceXtreme features a dual redundant MIL-STD-1553 channel, configurable in bus controller or multi remote terminal modes. Each is provided with a concurrent bus monitor that captures data in the industry standard IRIG-106 Chapter 10 format, along with eight digital discrete I/O, an IRIG-B input, and MIL-STD-1760 support.
