Ultra small chip inductors target next gen smartphones
Murata has commenced mass production of what it believes to be the world's first 270nH 0603 (EIA 0201) size chip inductors.
The LQP03TN-02 series now adds inductance values from 150 to 270nH. According to Murata, this has been made possible by applying its own microfabrication technology and by revising the internal structure.
With a small form factor of 0.6 x 0.3 x 0.3mm, the devices are specifically targeted at high frequency circuits in smartphones, mobile phones and other small portable wireless devices.
Inductance deviation is within +/-5% and the inductors have a Q factor rating of 5.
