Surface mount flat coil inductors target high current applications
Murata Power Solutions has introduced three new series' of surface mount inductors, aimed at high current applications where low loss characteristics are essential.
The 3700, 3800 and 3900 ranges are optimised to provide inductance values from 0.15 to 10uH and dc current ratings up to 19.5A. Supplied in tape and reel packaging, the inductors have an operating temperature range of -40 to + 130°C. All units are RoHS compliant and backward compatible with Sn/Pb soldering systems.
The units are available with a dc resistance value ranging from 0.9 to 20.3mOhm to ensure any voltage drop is kept to a minimum. Aimed at dc/dc power conversion applications where a high transient response is required, potential applications include voltage regulator modules, notebook computers and plasma displays.
