Rohm opens European Design Centre

Rohm Semiconductor has established a new European Design Centre to provide dedicated products, project management and design in support to European customers.

"The design centre will significantly expand our scope in offering innovative ics that meet the requirements of our European customers and – by being close to the market – define and maintain the right product roadmap for the future", said Dr. Michael Davis, Rohm's technical director. The Design Centre, located in Wilich-Münchheide, near Dusseldorf, will focus on developing lcd and led drivers, power management, automotive drivers, eeproms, sensors and solutions for general lighting applications. These devices are likely to find application in mobile telephones, motor drivers, power management in consumer and white goods and in led lighting in vehicles and buildings.
