PXtech has been recognised for its overseas business success at the Queen's Awards for Enterprise by winning the award for International Trade.

The Derby based firm develops IT solutions to provide business intelligence and support systems for the hospitality, retail and education sectors. Its tools are designed to allow remote monitoring of live sales data, financial controls and other business indicators, enabling clients access to their information from any internet location. Richard Dorf, PXtech managing director, said: "We are truly honoured to have won such a prestigious accolade and to be recognised by the Queen's Award in this Diamond Jubilee year makes it even more special. "Our success demonstrates that, despite the global downturn of recent years, there are significant opportunities to be seized and the economic challenges are just that – challenges, but not insurmountable. The UK should be proud of its heritage as a leader in technological innovation." The Queen's Awards for Enterprise are highly prestigious and granted for outstanding achievement by UK businesses in the categories of Innovation, International Trade and Sustainable Development.
