Queen’s Awards 2011: i2 wins innovation award two years in a row

Intelligence and investigation software provider i2 has received the Queen's Award for Enterprise in the Innovation category for the second year running. The Cambridge based company was recognised for the support its intelligence products provide for every phase of operations in the prevention of crime and terrorism.

"Winning this award for the second year running is a fitting tribute to the continuing achievements of the company and our employees," said i2 ceo Robert Griffin. "The successes of our products in helping our customers collaborate and share information, investigate, predict, prevent and defeat the world's most sophisticated criminal and terrorist threats has been an instrumental factor in this achievement." The Queen's Awards for Enterprise are highly prestigious and granted for outstanding achievement by UK businesses in the categories of Innovation, International Trade and Sustainable Development.
