Cambridge based design consultancy Plextek is looking to boost staffing by more than 10% in the next couple of months as part of a business expansion plan.

Cambridge based design consultancy Plextek is looking to boost staffing by more than 10% in the next couple of months as part of a business expansion plan. According to the company, new engineering, product design and project management positions have been created to help Plextek to cope with increasing global demand. Managing director Colin Smithers said: “Our decision to adapt the business model over the last few years has proved very successful. We’re performing very well as a business and have many exciting projects in the pipeline.” In the last two years, Plextek has been working to increase its global competitiveness. This has included offering product design services and the launch of Blighter, its portable radar for the security market. Plextek has also been providing contract manufacturing services for its design customers. “It's great to be in a position to be on the hunt for talented individuals who can make a valuable contribution to the future growth and success of the company,” Smithers added.
