Op amps for demanding industrial applications

1 min read

Intersil says it has used its proprietary precision bipolar process to create a range of op amps for use in 12 to 24bit data acquisition, instrumentation and industrial applications

The single ISL28117 and the dual ISL28217 are said to feature an 'ideal' combination of low noise and low power, coupled with low offset voltage, low bias current drift and minimal offset drift over temperature. The products are suited to applications that require the reduced power consumption, high dc accuracy and ac performance needed to condition precision analogue signals. The ISL28117 and ISL28217 feature an operating temperature range of -40 to 125°C. Their combination of low noise and low power meet the requirements for signal gain front ends in industrial control applications, while reducing overall power consumption for high signal count designs. Tolerating supply voltages ranging from ±2.25V to ±20V brings flexibility for wide common mode range applications. Full trench isolation process technology prevents latch up, while an ESD rating of 4.5kV (human body model) and 500V (machine model) prevent in field failures for industrial applications.
