Onzo launches ZigBee home energy monitoring kit

The kit comprises a ZigBee home energy display, which integrates into the consumers’ or utilities’ home area network, and a software suite, which enables consumers to manage their energy use online through a web portal. According to the companies, they have been working closely over several months. In addition to providing hardware support, Telegesis has implemented the kit on its ETRX2 module. Onzo´s chief technology officer Ben Pirt said: “Telegesis ETRX2 allowed us to get to market quickly and the addition of the Smart Energy Profile means our product will be compatible with a variety of other smart energy devices. Overall, we’re very happy with the performance and support from Telegesis.”
