New 300mA voltage regulators in 1 x 1mm package

Torex Semiconductor says its latest series of voltage regulators deliver 'ultra fast load transient response' performance.

The XC6223 series, says Torex, are low dropout voltage regulators which can provide a stable low noise supply capable of meeting the demands of most battery driven circuits. PSRR is 80dB at 1KHz and have a built in protection circuit, allowing the inrush current to be kept to a relatively low level without affecting the output current. The inrush current protection circuit has been designed to limit the inrush current to under 150mA and, according to Torex, can source up to 300mA of output current. Output voltage can be factory set from 1.2 to 4V in 50mV steps and the operating voltage is from 1.6 to 5.5V. It is compatible with low ESR ceramic capacitors and the series offers a dropout voltage of around 200mV with a 300mA load (Vout=3V). It is available in a USPQ-4 package (1 x 1 x 0.4mm) as well as in standard SSOT-24, SOT-25 and SOT-89-5 versions.
