Neul ceo to chair NMI

The NMI has appointed Stan Boland, ceo of Internet of Things (IoT) pioneer Neul, to the role of chairman.

Boland, who co-founded Icera and founded element14, takes over from David Wollen, who has been chair since 2010. "The UK continues to hold its own in electronics, with many company making vitally important contributions," he commented. "The NMI has many strong programmes in place and I'm looking forward to help steer a coherent presentation of our industry and define actionable steps that can accelerate our progress in the future." Derek Boyd, NMI ceo, added: "Stan has an enviable track record and will play a significant role in growing the electronic systems industry within the UK." The NMI has also announced two new appointments to its board: Brooke Hoskins, Raytheon UK's director of government relations, and Stephen Pattison, ARM's vice president of public affairs.
