LeCroy scopes to support up to 10 channels at 36GHz

Data test solutions specialist LeCroy has increased the bandwidth of its LabMaster 9 Zi-A modular oscilloscope system with the addition of a 36GHz acquisition module.

The new 36GHz capability is said to offer a 20% increase in bandwidth compared to the previous module. LeCroy says it will enable customers to perform optical coherent modulation analysis at data rates of 28+ GBaud or for 10 to 28Gb/s electrical non return to zero serial data testing. The new acquisition module can be configured in a LabMaster 9 Zi-A system to provide up to 10 channels at 36GHz and 20 channels at 20GHz, with analysis memory up to 512Mpts/ch. It is also backwards compatible with previously purchased LabMaster 9 Zi-A 'Master' acquisition modules. Designers needing more bandwidth can purchase an upgrade path which provides up to five channels at 45GHz.
