Intel targets energy efficient 14nm processor at mobile PCs

Intel showed a mobile PC reference design at the recent Computex event in Taiwan.

The fanless device features a 12.5in screen and is just 7.2mm thin when the keyboard is detached. Weighing 670g, the reference design is based on the first of Intel's 14nm Broadwell processors, which is said to have been purpose built for use in '2 in 1' devices. Called the Intel Core M processor, it will be the most energy efficient Core processor yet released by Intel.
